OVERVIEW

Background

Kia has maintained a long-standing partnership with the NBA, successfully evolving from a challenger brand to a mainstream automotive competitor. As senior executives from both organizations prepared for renewal discussions, the NBA marketing team developed high-level materials to support these negotiations.

Objective

  • Craft compelling marketing materials to illustrate the potential growth of the NBA-Kia partnership.
  • Develop a "blueprint" showcasing three key opportunities: bringing an NBA game to Korea as a presenting partner, entitlement for the NBA In-Season Tournament, and expanding Kia’s reach as the Official Global Automotive Partner of the NBA.
  • Make it feel as large as the opportunity. The final deliverable was printed 6 x 4.5 feet and was rolled out to the client on a table during the meeting.
